More than 40 fundraising professionals and civic activists gathered to discuss public attitudes toward giving and the path to building a stronger culture of empathy and engagement.
The event provided a historical overview of advocacy efforts to improve the legal framework for tax incentives on donations. Especially inspiring were the insights shared by professional fundraisers from the Board of the America for Bulgaria Foundation, who offered their extensive experience and vision for sustainable sector development.
The keynote guest of the event – sociologist Boryana Dimitrova – summed it up with the powerful thought: “Philanthropy helps overcome cynicism and expand the boundaries of trust.”
